This project explores how pain as a subjective experience can be translated into artistic practice. It asks how pain becomes visible and tangible. This involves experimentation with digital and analog media, from collage and drawing to generative art. The work not only reflects on personal experiences of pain, but also examines representations in art, cultural, and philosophical history, as well as in linguistics. The focus is on the relationship between pain and aesthetics: How is pain discussed, conveyed, and experienced?
Work in Progress Title: Mycelium
The work explores biomorphic shapes, textures, and surfaces in digital space that specifically address the nervous system through an immersive experience. With their creeping, pulsating, and swirling movements, the structures are reminiscent of mushroom-like organisms and create a physical and sensory experience.
First Screening: Dec 2025, in the context of a mushroom-themed art market
